baseball best heel pitching support year
It's been our Achilles' heel all year long. We have one of the best pitching staffs in baseball and we just can't support them offensively.
definitely feels good
It's just going to be if he feels good enough to do those things. We like to run. He'll definitely have the chances.
ball fans good heaven minnesota painful puck sure time tough twins
It's a tough time for everyone. I'm sure Minnesota Twins fans are hurting. It's very painful right now. But the good thing is that we all know where Puck is going to be -- he's going to be up in heaven whacking the ball around.
beat guys list share
It's a big list every day. It's probably no different than most teams. We've been beat up. We had a big one with Torii, and other guys off and on. We've had our share of injuries, that's for sure.
anytime fire guys inside kyle learned liked people took
I took it personal, and it wasn't really personal. So I learned from it. And I think Kyle did, too. I always have liked Kyle. ... Anytime you get guys with a fire inside of them, that want to win, that want to be out there on the mound, people are going to butt heads.
days five hoping knew spring throws
It wasn't that complicated five days ago. But we knew it was going to get a little entertaining here. We were hoping we could get through spring without injuries, but they are going to happen. It just throws a little wrench in there.
bottom line matter start winning
It wasn't pretty, but the bottom line is you've got to start winning games. It doesn't matter how you do it.
beautiful control damage gave performance pitching
It wasn't the most beautiful pitching performance you've ever seen. But the one thing he did was damage control... and that gave us a chance.
bit came coming good groove guys home nice playing road series tough
It was a very nice series for us, after coming off a tough road trip. We came back home and did what you have to do to get righted. Guys are now getting into a bit of a groove and playing good ball.
allowing best breaking eventually hit outfield protect slowly
I want to protect him the best I can and we'll go from there. He's doing the drills and he's doing fine, but I don't want to kill him. I think breaking him in slowly by allowing him to hit and then eventually getting him into the outfield is the right thing to do.
against force guard guys happy letting looks nice odds player talk trying
I want the whole player back. You have to guard against letting him get out there and trying to force too much or letting him do too much early. It's nice to see and I'm really happy that he's back out there running around, because when it happened, there was a lot of talk that some guys never come back from this. It looks like he's beating the odds right now.
balls fell gap hit holes ran
It was a disappointing series. They just killed us. They ran balls down in the gap and the ones they hit fell in. They were able to find the holes and we couldn't.
add charlotte half hour minutes port takes team
It takes us an hour and a half to get to Sarasota and Bradenton, and you can add 15-20 minutes more with the traffic. A team in Port Charlotte would be perfect.
tough
It will be a tough day for everybody.
