attitude far improving passive past team teams themselves works
This team works better than other teams we've had in the past as far as improving themselves on the court, and the attitude is always positive. But this team has its own personality, and unfortunately, it's a passive one.
against continue passes pick run supposed team timing
Every team that comes in here now will try it against us. If we continue to not make the passes we're supposed to, if our timing is off, we're going to continue to struggle. But if we run it the right way, we'll pick them apart.
idaho san teams together
You'd think they'd put Fresno and San Jose together and then the two Idaho teams together, but we'll see how it goes.
coaching focused pleased remember stayed staying team time
I've been coaching a long time and I really don't remember one where we trailed the whole time. But I was pleased with my team for staying focused the whole time. We just stayed there and stayed there.
block far overall prepare shots sure teams
As far as overall size, this is one of the better teams we've had. I'm sure other teams prepare for it because they know we're going to block shots and do some things inside.
care crowds guys liked road stuff team
Savo and those guys were aggressive. They didn't care where we were. They liked going on the road because the crowds and stuff got them mad. This team doesn't have that kind of fire.
across built confidence early game hard pace saw stop team
Because we couldn't stop them early on and set the pace of the game, they built confidence as the game went on. It's hard to get across to your team that they're 0-8 but better than that, and we saw that.
complain might team work
This might be the first team I've had that doesn't complain and get sluggish. They all come to work hard.
athletic problems teams
They're athletic and they get after you. We've had problems with teams like that in the past.
beat both motivation team work
They have nothing to play for, but that could work both ways. If they find the motivation and really want to get after it, they can beat any team in the league.
closer help teams
The new teams are all closer so that should help a little.
call confidence extension guard hot knows leadership offense point teammates
With the leadership and the confidence he has in his teammates and the unselfishness that he has as that point guard now, he's able to orchestrate. He knows who's hot and where they want to get it. He knows the offense well enough now to know what to call and it's like an extension of the bench.
cut host nevada pull struggled team work
In the past, the host team has struggled to pull it out. I would say Nevada has its work cut out.
advantage amongst coming game league natures ourselves seven six teams won
If you're on the other end of it, you say that. I've said it because there are six or seven teams coming in here without another game tacked on like normal. We complained amongst ourselves about it and won every game. That's just one of our natures as coaches. That's the way the league is and sometimes you get an advantage and sometimes you don't. You have to take advantage of the advantage by winning.
