care crowds guys liked road stuff team
Savo and those guys were aggressive. They didn't care where we were. They liked going on the road because the crowds and stuff got them mad. This team doesn't have that kind of fire.
fits good kids obviously perfect recruit smart
You obviously have to be smart to get into that school. But they also recruit kids who are perfect fits for that system. That's why they're so good every year.
level moves practice
This is the first competitive practice we've had in a month. When you have that competitiveness out there, everybody's level moves up.
exactly game perfect
It was a perfect game for us. This is exactly what we needed.
couple games gotten kept led lost question seniors starts time top work year
The seniors have led the way, there's no question about that. There was a time during the year when we lost a couple games that they could have gotten down, but they never did that. They just went to work and really kept it going. It all starts at the top with the leadership.
defense offense score
Our defense worked. They didn't score much, either. We just couldn't get our offense going.
carry half last pleased second
I was pleased with the last half of the second half. The first half was a carry over from Nevada.
deserve hoping respond turn
If we don't respond on the road, we don't deserve to go anywhere. But we're in the (WAC) race, so I'm hoping we turn it around here.
bobby ncaa playing somewhere tournament
If we have Ahmet down the stretch, I think we're still playing somewhere (in the NCAA Tournament or NIT). And if we had Bobby and Little Matt, I don't think there's any question.
bench change energy games help struggled
If we do change it, Ahmet can give us a lot of energy off the bench. There have been some games where our bench has struggled to give us points, and I know Ahmet can help there.
energy game kids
I don't know what you could do different. You got the same game plan, you got the same kids. It's an energy thing they have to do.
across built confidence early game hard pace saw stop team
Because we couldn't stop them early on and set the pace of the game, they built confidence as the game went on. It's hard to get across to your team that they're 0-8 but better than that, and we saw that.
mentally prepared
No excuses. We just have to get better prepared mentally to play. Mentally, we just weren't in the game.
man ran second
Second half, when (Idaho) went man-to-man, we ran everything to Julian. That's why he got all those dunks.
