interested
Nate was very interested in him, so he interviewed me about Bob.
pressure
That's a lot of pressure to put on (the starters).
against beating good improve
That's a lot of beating yourself against a very good team. If we don't improve the free-throw shooting, we're going to be in trouble.
against beating good
That's a lot of beating yourself against a good team.
ball deserved trust win
I'll say this, (San Jose State) deserved to win this ball game. But I'm not going to give it to them, by any means. I'll take the win, trust me.
against happy letter phone send
I'm happy for his 400th. I just didn't want it to be against me, you know? But at least by being here I can congratulate him in person and don't have to send him a letter or make a phone call.
almost town
They'll be in town before we get there. So it's almost like we're making another (road) trip.
grown hard held improve practice worked
They've really held together, grown as a team. They take coaching, they have worked hard in practice to improve their games, individually and (as a) team, and they like each other and play together.
game played schedule top tough
They've played a tough schedule and they've been in every ballgame. We have to be on top of our game if we want to win.
games win
This is it. We have to win some more games if we want to keep playing.
advantage amongst coming game league natures ourselves seven six teams won
If you're on the other end of it, you say that. I've said it because there are six or seven teams coming in here without another game tacked on like normal. We complained amongst ourselves about it and won every game. That's just one of our natures as coaches. That's the way the league is and sometimes you get an advantage and sometimes you don't. You have to take advantage of the advantage by winning.
control decision future good guys job kids leave people playing reason recruiting school
In the future it's going to be very difficult. They're going to have to do a good job of recruiting guys who have the potential. The thing that kills people that's not fair, the No. 1 reason kids leave school is playing time. You can't control that. You get penalized for his decision and not yours.
basket gives guy guys rebound rest team
He's their go-to guy and the rest of the guys get around him and work. He comes up with a big basket or a big rebound and that gives the whole team energy. That's why they don't have the big lulls in there like we have.
couple everybody help home plays practices
I don't know if it makes a difference, because everybody plays better at home in this league. But we'll still get a couple of practices in so that should help us a little bit.
