austin david depend fair feeling goes guys hope jeff pull scoring share team
We have to hope Pollard is feeling better and we're going to have to depend on guys like David (Harrison) and Austin and Jeff (Foster) to pull through and we're going to have to find scoring as a team. Every team goes through their fair share of problems. We're just going to have to play through this.
chicago dig fortunate hard hump last learn played poor pull undoing
Our undoing was in the first half. I thought we played really well, really hard and really together. It's hard to dig yourself out of that big of a hole. We have to learn something from the last two games. We got fortunate in Chicago because we were able to pull it out when we played a poor first half. But we weren't able to get over the hump (Monday).
bone pulled
The tendon pulled part of the bone off.
advantage close free games hurt throw
When you have opportunities to close out games you have to take advantage of them. We had a couple. We got hurt at the free throw line. We got hurt on second-chance opportunities.
best effort fight fighting generally hit laying lies losing solution
We've got to fight our way out of this, losing, injuries, all of it. When you hit losing streaks, generally speaking, the solution lies in just laying out your best effort and fighting your way out of it. That's where we are. There's really no other explanation to it.
deal
We've got to deal with injuries, but we want to play well.
group played
We've got the same group that played well the other night. We are not going to make excuses.
jackson run
We run that (offense) sometimes, but we're going to be doing it more, obviously, when he and ( Stephen Jackson ) are in there. Now that you don't have Jermaine, it necessitates some adjustments offensively. We'll do what we need to do.
condition decision half heavy ice minutes position practice trying
We're trying to condition him into a position where he can play with consistency. My decision was to play him heavy minutes the first half and then ice him down, have him for practice tomorrow.
earn player quality time work
Those things work their way out. One thing about getting another quality player is you're going to have to earn your time on the court.
couple dodge good grenade hand lucky west
We got a little lucky and dodged a hand grenade at the end. West got a good look. You have to get lucky and dodge a couple of those.
fortunate good hand hotel job knew open somebody somehow straight talk third three touch whether
We knew he was somehow going to touch it, whether or not he was going to hand it off to somebody else or take the shot. We had three straight timeouts to talk about it. We did a good job on the first two plays, and the third one they got us and got an open look. We're fortunate to be going back to the hotel with a win.
couple knew loose shook three until
We knew he could get unbelievably hot. In the fourth, it started with that three from the corner. Then he shook loose a couple of times on other plays. Until then, we had them under control.
advantage ball chance close events gets hits johnson knocked sequence
Unbelievable sequence of events at the end. When you have opportunities to close out games, you've got to take advantage of them. On the play at the end of regulation, we had a chance to get the rebound, the ball gets knocked loose, and Johnson hits the three.
