good hit
We had a lot of good looks, we just didn't hit the shots.
basketball bass bull good hit team third
We're not a very good basketball team right now. This was very disappointing. We couldn't hit a bull in the butt with a bass fiddle. The ball not going in in the third was key.
fourth hitting phenomenal quarter shot third
He (Redd) was phenomenal with his shot making, especially in the third and the fourth (quarters). Then all of them were hitting threes after a while. The third quarter did us in.
advantage ball chance close events gets hits johnson knocked sequence
Unbelievable sequence of events at the end. When you have opportunities to close out games, you've got to take advantage of them. On the play at the end of regulation, we had a chance to get the rebound, the ball gets knocked loose, and Johnson hits the three.
best effort fight fighting generally hit laying lies losing solution
We've got to fight our way out of this, losing, injuries, all of it. When you hit losing streaks, generally speaking, the solution lies in just laying out your best effort and fighting your way out of it. That's where we are. There's really no other explanation to it.
bad break came chance gave hard hit hung last losses lucky moral ourselves played start three till tough win
We competed hard from start to finish. It came down to Duncan making some tough shots. They hit that lucky 3 from the corner, which was a bad break for us. We hung in and played and gave ourselves a chance till the last minute. It's three losses in a row. There's no moral victories. You have to find a way to win games.
chance crossed happy hit jack last shot stepped switched
They switched everything and got crossed up. I was real happy Jack got a chance to hit the game-winning shot after he stepped up so courageously in the last game, but couldn't get it to go down.
games good hitting missed player rhythm stride taken top
Jermaine is a top player in this league. He missed a lot of games (this season) and it's taken him a while to get his conditioning and his rhythm back. Fortunately for us, he's hitting his stride at a good time.
continue good hitting league level missed player stride success top
Jermaine is a top player in this league and we all know he's missed a lot of games. Fortunately he's hitting his stride at a good time. We need him to continue to play at that kind of level for us to have success in the series.
avoid ball becoming bogged good happened hit isolation job knew moving offense orlando point recent slow staying stretch
We have to avoid becoming stagnant. We knew at some point Orlando would hit a stretch where they hit shots. We also knew that when that happened we had to keep the ball moving on offense and not slow it down and get into isolation plays. That bogged us down in recent games. I thought we did a good job of staying away from that.
defensive errors kick ourselves terrible
We just made some terrible errors down the stretch. They got going and then we compounded it with some defensive mistakes. We'll kick ourselves -- again.
basketball build continue good gotta opportunity playoffs start week
We just gotta try to continue to build on what's been a pretty good week of basketball and we've got one more opportunity before the playoffs start and it's important for us.
dig good job missed percent shoot shots team
We missed shots and didn't do a good job defensively. When you let the other team shoot 75 percent in the first quarter, you're going to dig a hole. We have to do better in all areas.
consistency defense establish intensity leads
We have to establish some consistency. We have to have more intensity on defense because that leads to opportunities on offense.
