I think the turning point was the missed PK. That made a difference.
ahead command early further game last
He's a lot further ahead than he was last year. Sometimes you don't have the command you want early in the game, but he made the adjustment. As the game went on, he got pretty good.
excited gone totally
He's a totally different pitcher. That's why he can get excited about what's gone on this spring.

He was crisp with all of his pitches and very sharp. I'm impressed with him; he looks like he did a few years ago.
concerns everybody plenty time velocity
He has some concerns of velocity being down, but he's not the only one -- everybody else will be the same thing. Once you're there you will have plenty of time to get yourself ready.

That doesn't bother me at all because I know they'll get it going. The last two nights, we got seven innings out of both of our starters, and you can see them getting more consistent.

amazing kids questions types
It's really amazing to see the types of questions that these young kids come up with.
ball easy ground hard late seventh three top
In the seventh inning, he got on top of the ball, and the ball sank hard and late again. He got three easy ground balls. So, he's getting there.

He's pretty good. It's going to be fun to watch him progress.
