ball continue cost games hurt tonight
The turnovers are still frustrating. It didn't hurt us tonight on the scoreboard, but that's something that will continue to cost us ball games if we're not better.
almost attacking ball block few games huge last maybe mental obviously passing people saw shot zone
We shot the ball pretty well in the first few games last year, and then I think we almost got a mental block when we saw zone. Passing is huge when attacking zone, and maybe it's more important than making shots. Obviously when you make shots, people don't zone you.
ball biggest bit care connected nba offense people struggling
I think the biggest thing for us is if we can take care of the ball and really guard. Our offense is so connected to our defense. ... We've been struggling a little bit guarding people off the dribble, and I think they have an NBA backcourt.
ball committed driving effective harder
He's really committed to driving the ball and has been much more effective getting to the basket. It makes him harder to guard.
second youth
We showed our youth in the second half. We didn't have the same intensity.
felt game great guard half played rebound tonight win
We felt to win the game tonight we'd have to rebound with them, we'd have to really guard them and we'd have to make some shots. I think the first half we really played great defense. ... We did not play well offensively.
brutally capable good honest past relative respond week
I've been pretty brutally honest with him this past week about the way I think he's been playing, especially relative to what he's capable of doing. It's good to see him respond the way he did.
accomplish beat clearly coming game humility illinois ourselves remind
There's humility all over our program. We've been through a lot coming back from the Illinois game getting beat like we did. We don't need to remind ourselves of that every day, but that's clearly in the back of their minds. And these guys, they're hungry. They want to accomplish something.

Every team has a limited life and days like today, you can feel like that life has just ended. The fact of the matter is it didn't. There's more games for us to play. For me as a coach, I've got to figure out how to help my kids get better.
action confusion course knew mind point
At that point there was really no confusion in my mind as to what the course of action was. I knew that it was over.
chance gotten highs team
We've gotten some highs this season, and this was a low. We get a chance to play this team again.
bit breaking good happy lift marshall played reason since
I was really happy to see Marshall play as aggressively as he did on the glass. I thought that was a big lift for us, and that's the one reason he scored, too. We've got to have better play from him. It's good to see him kind of breaking through a little bit since he hasn't played as well as of late.
I was not as hands-on as I think I need to be.
ability context earn encouraged felt guy provide scoring stepped within
I think he's had to earn that. He's a guy that has some ability, that we felt like if he stepped up could provide us with some scoring punch. We encouraged him to do that, but within the context of our team.
