It would be awesome to go a couple more games and have a chance to be in a position like that. I know their fans and their followers have just got to be loving it.
These are two historic offenses. You just don't see numbers like this except in video games.
We get down to the end of the season and we've got a couple of games left and we're fortunately in that position, then that's a whole different thing, and we'll deal with it when the time comes. But right now it's not something that our guys talk about. It's not something topical on our football team because it means nothing.
It's been a big deal in this program about how we finish. Now it's the fourth quarter of the season. We've got three huge games coming up. We're just really fired up about it.
They have been in difficult situations a number of times where they have been well behind and come roaring back and finished games with big finishes, big plays. This is a really good group. We will have our hands full with this one.
We're not worried. We're not going to get worn out. These games just keep you on the edge of your seat a little more.
These games are great for us. We need to be challenged, to be under the gun. We need to have to respond. It will make us strong.
All of those questions are ones that are directed at you because you have something you're shooting for. For us to be in a position where any of those arguments even matter, we have a lot of games to win. It's not an issue right now. If we get down to the very end and we're fortunate enough to be in position, then we'll deal with it. Right now, it's not something we talk about.
I would say that we have to explore and find ways to make our game a better game and take care of our players in whatever way possible. Regardless of what other stigmas might be involved, we have to do this because the world of medicine is doing this.
We're not going to do anything different for this game since we're not treating this game any different than another game. Every game is a championship game for us, so we'll treat this one, the last one and the next one exactly the same. And that goes for our practices leading up to it as well.
At the highest level in the NFL, the pass game is as complex as you can imagine.
Of course we want to win every game, but winning forever is more about realizing your potential and making yourself as good as you can be. Realizing that is a tremendous accomplishment, whether it's in football or in life.
We've been talking, and we had a more significant discussion (Wednesday). That is why I am willing to say something in a general sense. There are no details to give. We're in great shape, and things worked out really nice.
We just could not stop him. Vince Young is just an extraordinary football player.
