age coming love stories
I love coming of age stories that have struggle.
angeles fall good gravitate jump living los love mortgage onto passion side small stories studio time towards
I always gravitate towards the independent side of things, just because those are the stories I always fall in love with, but you don't really get paid, and living in Los Angeles is expensive, and I have a mortgage to pay. So it's good to jump onto a studio film and then in all my other time do small passion projects.
finding novelist stories travel travels uses
I wouldn't say that I'm a travel novelist, but rather a novelist who travels - and who uses travel as a background for finding stories of places.
clean massive might pay people prices stocks stories willing
We've had a massive revaluation of high-P/E stocks that may have sterling fundamentals, but people say 'I am not going to pay those prices anymore.' So, they might be more willing to pay for stories that are clean but that also have a valuation basis.
song moving stories
I see a correlation between short stories and songs, because of their length and for what they're meant to evoke. Combine certain words with melodies and it all becomes very moving.
absolutely book books human hungry intimate judge meet people stories strangers universe
I don't judge these things by numbers. How many people read 'Paradise Lost' when it was published? Two hundred? Three? As long as there's one reader, the book is doing what a book does. Books are irreplaceable, because they're the only place in the universe where two strangers can meet on absolutely intimate terms. We need to tell stories as human beings. People are as hungry for that as they have ever been.
anymore believe bible certainly enormous exorcist mythology slightly stories strength whether
I don't believe that anymore but you certainly know that world. But I wasn't Catholic. It was slightly different. The metaphorical strength of that stuff, of those stories, whether it's stories from the Bible or stories from contemporary mythology like The Exorcist have enormous metaphorical weight.
stories
There are stories that you don't have to be first on.
convey darwinian entirely evolve fascinated good knowing obsessed reject stories work
You'd expect, as good Darwinian creatures, we would evolve to be fascinated with how the world really is, and we would use language to convey real-world information, we'd be obsessed with knowing the way things are, and we would entirely reject stories that aren't true. They're useless. But that's not the way we work.
hopefully others stories sword throw
Yeah, you know, I like to throw myself on the sword so that others may feel better about themselves. I tell the stories that you all want to forget, but when you remember it, it hopefully makes you laugh.
attitude brother brought charles fan growing huge loved played power stories strong toughness watched
My brother was a huge Charles Barkley fan - my brother went to Miami. He played power forward, and he always used to tell me stories about Barkley and college. And I watched Barkley growing up. I loved what he brought to the game. His toughness and just his attitude, being as strong he was.
stories love-story feels
I love stories that put you on the edge of your seat and make you feel something.
began camp close hospital sending share stories surf until veteran
As a veteran surf camp instructor, I've had my share of hospital runs, sharks, mishaps, and close calls. I thought my stories were intense, until other surfers began sending me theirs.
hear niro stories surprising takes walk walking
The most surprising thing about it is I thought he's going to walk in and it's going to be like these stories you always hear about De Niro where he does 45 takes of walking through a door,
