We had to get back on track going into the states. This was a great conference and we had to find a way to get back on track.
focused games hopefully kids stay third
We had some pretty pooped kids at the end of that third game. But hopefully we can stay focused with just two games in a day.

It's tough to get that fourth game on somebody.
coaches exhausted talk trying
It's kind of like a scavenger hunt. You get on the Internet, and you try to find coaches who'll talk to you. ... We're exhausted trying to find stuff.
coach four games happened seven split three win
It's our first ever on Hays. At least, I know it hasn't happened in my seven years (as coach). I don' think we've ever split to win three of four to win three games is really special.
adjust bottom everybody happy line luck
Everybody has talent. You'll adjust when necessary, but the bottom line is that you'll need some luck, too. Some things, you can't plan, and you're just happy when they go in your favor.

It was a good day for us. We really played well.

It was close, we just couldn't hang on. We were up, and they came back on us.
area coaches found gag order talk
We're at a disadvantage, because there's kind of a gag order in the Fayetteville area --none of the coaches will talk about other teams. We've just found out what we can.
both good three win won
We didn't win both like we would've liked, but we still won three of four, which is always a good thing.
defense known seniors worked
We've always been known for our defense. We have so many seniors and they've worked so hard. Defense is just what we try to do.
game kids mess
It hurts. The kids were a mess after the game - we all were.
beat best
We didn't play our best (Friday). But we're still right in it. We're pretty beat up, but we're right there.
ball changing job moving pitchers
Our pitchers have to do a better job moving the ball and changing speed.
