We're not too concerned about (the polls) right now. We're second in the league, which is what I pay attention to.

We didn't start off so good, but then we got on our game, and we played well in Games 2 and 3.

That's just poor. But whatever. You can't control that.

I thought we got emotionally drained. I looked up at Brian (Beckwith) in Game 3, and he looked really drawn. Usually, he's aggressive out there. We fought through that.
core good returning wonderful
I think we're returning a very good core that had a wonderful season.

I think we can improve overall, but we're doing pretty good. Our only concern is ourselves.

I think they looked through the net and gained a lot of confidence.
good practice seeing
He's being a good teammate. The Jose we're seeing (in matches) is the Jose I see in practice all of the time. He's a good player.
block enjoy happy prepare rest weekend
Our block is getting better, but as coaches, we can never be happy or satisfied. We are just going to enjoy the rest of the weekend and prepare for USC.
basics care serve
Serve and pass. You take care of the basics and go from there.
hurting landed smiling
He really landed hard. He's smiling now, but he's going to be hurting later.

He's in there for his serving. Any time you substitute somebody for a serve, he's being brought in because of his serve.
