If they didn't have anything on us, they sure were standing in the right spots a lot. I think some of our guys got off to bad starts.

We were the little Volkswagen trying to climb that hill without all of its cylinders. We gave it everything we had. We battled and battled. The neat thing is we figured out a way to win. That's probably the best thing I can say.

It seemed like whoever ascended to the top of the heap would quickly give it away. Nobody could settle into that position last year.

Take your body weight, put it on a rack and power clean it 74 consecutive times, and that's a good argument for moving to the outside (hitter position). He did that. That's an endurance feat, of course, but it also takes a little strength, too.
bum deal paid tough
It's a bum deal for him, as it is for us. He's paid a lot of time. He's paid a lot of dues. It's a tough deal.
facial hard shows teammate
There are some things that are really hard to see (on video), like facial expressions. That's important. That shows how he reacts. That shows what kind of teammate he is.
