Chris is very steady. He's had a fine year. He gets overlooked. They tease him about it. I tease him about it.
We just changed some of our packages so it gets to be seen more. Plus, everybody knows that this could be my last year here so everybody is kind of paying attention to everything.
I'm very proud of the job he's done, ... If he keeps it going, he could have his best year. I'm sure glad it worked out with his contract. We'd all like him to stay and he'd liked to stay. So hopefully it all gets worked out.
I know that he's a better player than he performed on Sunday. And now, if he gets a chance to be the guy and start, I think you'll see the player that has done very well for us since he's been here.
He bumped into me way too much during the game, so that is the third thing he's got to do, stay away from me, ... He gets kind of excited down there.
The plays were good plays, and I think we prepared properly. But really it's about the players making plays and making the catch and blocking. And when they do that, you look pretty good as a signal-caller.
The only thing I can think of (for the Steelers being favored) is that they beat Indianapolis, which was a huge win for them. Indy was having a great, great year and is a great football team. And that popped Pittsburgh, as it should.
When you look at the two teams, (the Patriots) have been in more situations like this and they are more experienced than we are. They are a very veteran and smart team, and that's our goal, to get there. What I have to do is get our guys to believe they can be there. I believe we're going to be a better football team at the end of the year than we are right now because each game our young guys get better.
The only statistic that counts is the score at the end of the game. Give credit to the Steelers. They're a tough team to play against.
We said, 'Just stand over there and do what you are supposed to do.'.
This year, we're under the radar and we're playing well. I think we can stay that way for a while ? as long as we keep winning.
We had a couple of chances to gain some yards and we ran laterally instead of up the field. At the same time I want it to improve, and I have to see some improvement.
We're going for the record. We've set a lot of records this year. We're going for that one, too.
Those (turnovers) typically come in bunches and those are real contagious.
