It is something like basically getting stabbed in the heart. These are the type of games you look back on at the end of the season and just hope they don't hurt you.
I thought Seattle was a very good team, but did I expect them to be in the Super Bowl? I thought if they were going to be there they'd have to go through us.
I think we were a team, but we were a little unsure. We had a new quarterback, there were a lot of different things we had to have answered. This year I just don't have that feeling. Even though Eli's young, I just don't have that feeling that we're as unsure of ourselves.
I think this can be a championship team.
He showed a lot of poise. He commands the huddle and he commands the offense.
We have to be a lot crisper. We have to be sharp. Defensively, we can't give up any big plays and let them move the ball at will. They have a great running game. We're going to have to stop the run. That's first and foremost.

He is going to be a great head coach. I'll be really surprised if he doesn't get a job somewhere. He's done a great job with this unit and he's made it exciting. He's made me want to go out there and play like I was young again. I'm proud to play for Tim and, unselfishly, I hope I'm not playing for him next year.
Our other guys are going to see that and feed off it. He goes after the ball and actually catches it.
Growing up, we had 30, 40, 50 people coming through the house some Thanksgivings. Sometimes there was a kids' table; other times, the plate was just sitting on your lap. You get in where you fit in at that house.
He was back there so quick that he beat the running back to the ball.
He commanded the huddle. He commanded the offense. And he's only going to get better.
There are similarities. There is loss, there is tragedy. Still guys have to be able to focus. Football is football.
It felt like we were in a heavyweight championship fight, too. It was just a punch to the face. There are other ways to block people. He said it was an accident and I'll take him at his word. But it's the kind of injury that ends careers.
