ability athletic both gift
My athletic ability is both a gift and curse.
ball easiest guy handle needs position running strengths suits switch
I can handle any position that I may switch to, but I think probably the easiest position that suits my strengths is running back. I'm a guy that really needs the ball in his hands.
dying great tom
Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, they're great quarterbacks, but they're going to be a dying breed. Defenses are getting too fast. You can't have quarterbacks who are statues.
ball chance coach game hit particular situation throw work
I wouldn't say we work on ball control, ... It comes down to the game situation -- if we have a lead, what we want to do in a particular drive. Sometimes Coach Paterno will come over to me and say, 'If you get a chance to throw it deep, see if we can hit it.'
anxious respect teams
I'm anxious to see what our young receivers can do, man-on-man coverage, because I know teams aren't going to respect us at first.
definitely needed speed
We definitely needed some speed on the outside. I haven't been around for much winning.
due fear reactive starts
We become reactive due to fear, but after a while that fear starts to dissipate, so we relax,
At least he has two years. I only had one.
finally offense opportunity throw wide
It's just finally getting the opportunity to do what I like to do. This offense being so wide open, I can throw it to any receiver.
attack certain knowing line people seeing
It's just repetition, going over it, seeing blitzes more, knowing how people are going to line up and attack us with certain blitzes.
attitude filtered freshmen good knew rare
Derrick was one of these rare freshmen who knew he was good before he got here. He would look at me and say, 'I'm going to be open,' and that attitude filtered down to all the receivers.
line player running unique
Derrick's a very unique player. He has exceptional speed. We were able to line him up at running back sometimes. I don't know if we have another player on our roster like that.
bad hard judge might pick team
They know all our plays, so when we do things it might not look that bad in a game, so you just don't know. And we know their plays, so we pick up some of their blitzes that another team might not pick up. It's hard to judge right now.
coverage guys recognize
They didn't go to a traditional coverage after they blitzed, ... and our guys were really able to recognize that and get open.
