I just told the team that if we were going to be a championship team, we had to deal with adversity. We had a chance to win the last two doubles matches and couldn't do it.

I just told them I was going to be a different quarterback, ... I was going to keep my poise. I was going to stay in the pocket. I was going to make sure what I was seeing was legit. I was seeing the field and seeing everything clearly and I was able to get guys involved. That's what I've been looking for. That's what we've been looking for as an offense, and it worked.

I remember how limited I felt when I was diagnosed, and I want to prevent children from feeling that way, ... It's important that they see that diabetes can be controlled and does not have to keep them from achieving their dreams.
