I have friends who definitely sort of turn up their noses at what they consider to be the hokiness of this show, ... But when you meet these people coming off buses and planes, you can't help feeling good about who they are and where they're from. ... Are we going to bring them in and make fun of them? It's completely the opposite.

I don't know anybody that runs 4.18, besides him. People tend to gravitate towards those that can shell out information. That would be the wise youngster and the wise old guy, so to speak. I had him around a lot. I consider that guy my little brother. I took him under my wing.

I did quite a lot of the arranging, fitting different sections together, tempo changes, all sorts of things like that. I actually acted as a bridge between Robert and Ian. Not so much composing, rather presenting musical ideas at each rehearsal.
