blown enticing people
I was blown away. It's all about enticing people in.
acting art born knew music picked
I was born first to music. But I went into acting because my father knew so much about music he intimidated me. So, I picked an art form, he knew nothing about. So I could be my own man.
advantage brian course eyes improvement knew last player seeing special surprised training week
I wasn't surprised by Brian at all today. I could see it in his eyes last week that he was up for this game. I have the advantage of seeing him every day at training but I knew something special was coming. There is still some improvement to come, as a player and a captain, but he is well on course after his injury.
america appeal asked interest knowledge setting
I wasn't setting out to write a documentary; if I had, I would have done it in a completely different way. I was asked to write a drama that would appeal to a big audience in America that had no knowledge or interest in The Tudors at all.
blow maybe worried
I wasn't really worried about it, ... Maybe I should have been, (but) I thought it would all blow over, and didn't see it as a catastrophe.
fun nervous
I wasn't nervous at all. I just wanted to go out and have fun with it.
money
I wasn't making any money, but I was very happy.
american-author asked drafts except script sent turned
I wasn't involved, except to the degree that they sent me drafts of the script as the writer turned them in. They asked me at one point to write a memo about what I thought of it.
informed
I wasn't even informed that it was up today.
brink eve general intense leaders leaders-and-leadership
I was obsessing. All leaders go through that. It was a very intense summer. We were on the brink of doing something special. It was like being a general on the eve of battle.
early great happened kid third
I wasn't worried, because it happened in the third game, which is early enough where they usually give the kid another year, ... It was great to be able to get Darrell back.
chemistry committee education enter financial graduated honours jones latin manchester oxford professors proficient program support university
I was not proficient in Latin and so was not able to go to Oxford or Cambridge. However, I did enter the first-rate chemistry honours program at the University of Manchester in 1950, where the professors were E.R.H. Jones and M.G. Evans, and graduated in 1953, with the financial support of a Blackpool Education Committee Scholarship.
acoustic bob dylan folk guitar loved musician rock roll sing
I was not a musician at the time. I had an acoustic guitar and I used to sing folk music and Bob Dylan songs. I loved rock and roll though.
bits good huge liked looks natural pieces pierce sean seen sure
I was never a huge 007 fan, but I sure liked Sean Connery. I'm sure Pierce Brosnan is good and has his moments, but I've not seen him; I've only seen bits and pieces on TV, so I can't really judge. Pierce looks very natural in the role.
