bad teams
We're one of those bad teams right now.
effort last night putting terms work
We've got to work a little harder, do the things that we did last night in terms of working and putting the effort out there and we'll be fine.
defense good incredible kept
Our defense wasn't as good as it has been, but he was making some incredible shots. He kept them in the game.
advantage game opportunity steven taken
Steven has taken advantage of the opportunity, and that's what this game is about.
coach lead respected
Someone as respected as Coach K can lead them,
attitudes believe guys importance leave number somehow turn understand urgency
Somehow we've got to turn it. We've got to turn it immediately for us to get back in this thing. We're still there, but we've got to turn it immediately. We've got to turn attitudes and turn to believe in yourself as well as your team. We've got to turn it around and make guys understand the importance of it, number one, the urgency of it, number two, and leave it out on the floor.
foul knew kyle misses
Nah, it wasn't that bad, ... Twenty-seven percent, c'mon. When Kyle misses a foul shot, I knew we were in trouble.
adapt certainly coach nba players
I think NBA players can adapt and certainly Coach K can adapt to NBA players.
approach figured grow needs player totally
His approach to people, to the game, is totally different. He's figured out how to be successful, what he needs to do to grow and get better as a player and person.
allen ball chris defended easy great keys offensive passing
Chris and Allen didn't have great offensive games, but they were passing the ball. I thought the way we defended and rebounded the ball was big for us. I thought one of the keys for us was that we got some easy baskets.
allen four miss player time
Any time you don't have a player like Allen play for four consecutive games, you're going to miss him. You're going to miss his scoring, his drive, a lot of things.
continue good happen lose mental state time turn win
Any time you lose and you continue to lose, you take it. You have to have something good happen to you to turn your mental state over, and the only way you do that is to win a game. As you continue to lose, you feel it.
ball bit discredit effective gets jump people plays rebound skills stronger toughness work
Shavlik is a little bit stronger than people think. He can rebound the ball in traffic. Offensively, he can put the ball down on the floor. Once he gets a 15- or 16-foot jump shot, I think he can be an effective player. I think people discredit his toughness. I think as he plays a little bit more, the toughness will come out, the ball skills will come out. Right now, he?s got to work on that jump shot.
allowed early lead missed nba run shots team time
Every time you're in an NBA game, a team is going to make a run and they're going to make some shots at some point. Early on they missed a lot of shots, which allowed us to get the lead that we had.
