I made no birdies and I'm in a state of shock over that. The good thing about making no birdies is it can't possibly happen two days in a row. Maybe I'll bust out with six or seven tomorrow and that will be the story.

I can honestly say I never thought I would say that I actually win a tournament using my head. But honestly this weekend, I think I won this tournament playing smart golf, using course management and staying patient. I am excited about tomorrow. I didn't hit my driver quite as well today, but I made no birdies and I'm in half a state of shock about that. That just never happens to me. I can usually scrape one or two in somewhere. The good news is I hit a lot of good putts. I just didn't read them right or my speed wasn't right or a combination of both.

I needed to shoot a good score today, and I did, ... I played well, got a great break on one hole. I snap-hooked a drive on the par- five seventh into the hazard. It was dead left. It hit a tree and popped out to the front edge of the fairway about 100 yards off the tee. I laid up with a three-iron and hit a sand-wedge about three feet and made a four. It should have been a six or who knows what.

I'm surprised that the scores aren't lower. With the course conditions, I really thought someone would have shot 7- or 8-under for sure, maybe even 9- under.
