I am excited about tomorrow. I didn't hit my driver quite as well today, but I made no birdies and I'm in half a state of shock about that. That just never happens to me. I can usually scrape one or two in somewhere. The good news is I hit a lot of good putts. I just didn't read them right or my speed wasn't right or a combination of both.

I was so nervous out there in the fairway. I hit a great shot and the wind came my way at the right time.

It surprised me, I started laughing, ... Thomas Bjorn thought that was kind of funny. I was looking down the fairway and just kind of tinged the ball with the toe of my club. I did that one time at the Bob Hope Classic and hit it 60 yards. Almost killed about six old people on the right at Bermuda Dunes.

I actually ... felt too relaxed. I hit an awful iron into the first hole, then another terrible iron into 2 and I thought for a minute I might be in trouble.

I needed to shoot a good score today, and I did, ... I played well, got a great break on one hole. I snap-hooked a drive on the par- five seventh into the hazard. It was dead left. It hit a tree and popped out to the front edge of the fairway about 100 yards off the tee. I laid up with a three-iron and hit a sand-wedge about three feet and made a four. It should have been a six or who knows what.

I drove it phenomenal in the Pro-Am Wednesday. That gave me the enthusiasm coming into today's round because if you don't drive it well here, you're cooked. I think I hit 10 fairways today, but still drove it pretty good.

I've only made three bogeys, I guess, and that's pretty good around here. It starts off the tee here. I've driven it well and I think that's the key for me.
