I've been doing that for four years. He said, 'You've got to come to first.' I don't know how I didn't since I threw the ball there. That's a big deal. It goes from 2-0 to 5-0.
Everything is going our way. The balls are landing our way, the calls are going our way and we're getting that big hit when we need it. Everything you look at, how can't we win this thing? But we still have two more games to win.
That was huge especially with (Mike) Sweeney on deck. He's hit me pretty well. That's why I kind of gave a little fist pump after I picked him off. If you make a mistake to Sweeney, he's going to hit the ball out of the park and would be a tie game. That is one of the big points of the game.
I'd love to strike out 20 guys a game and throw the ball 95. But I don't have that. I gotta go out there and deal with what I have.
Last year was totally opposite. My numbers - it's just one of those years. I don't know if the wind was blowing in or it was a little cold or the balls were flying out. If I did it every year, there would be something to it. But last year was totally opposite, so I have no clue what the difference is.
First happened, I thought Josh Paul threw the ball to the mound like he caught it. It's a heads up play by A.J. to run to first base like that.
It was probably one of the best games of my career. We found my changeup in the middle innings and in the seventh and eighth innings I made a couple of key pitches and had a ground ball and a couple of outs. But it was one of the best games of my career.

They're scrappy, ... and they don't try to do too much. They put the ball in play. When guys get on, they hit and run, steal, distract the pitcher. They go out and do everything they can to produce a couple of runs.
I hung the ball the first couple of innings. Location-wise I didn't have it.
The way Buehrle pitched, it seemed like they didn't need no signs,'' Guillen said.
Ever since the All-Star break, it seems like I haven't had too many good games. It's frustrating. We've still got six games with Cleveland. And the way that they're playing, they could sweep us right now. If we keep on playing like we're playing, we're not going to the playoffs. We'll be home on Oct. 3.
Being a starting pitcher, you want to go out there and get as many runs early as you can. It happened a lot early in the season, and then the offense had been struggling lately. But any time you get a couple of runs early, it's nice to work with.
Being a starting pitcher, you want to be a 20-game winner. Every year you come into spring training hoping to get to that part. I've always said if I win five games and the team wins 90 percent of my starts, that's all I can hope for, give my team the best chance to win.
