bit came close extremely five game half kept last minutes proud sophia talented team tempo
I was really proud of the way our team came out and competed. We kept it close in the first half and set the tempo of the game defensively. Sophia Young is an extremely talented player, and we let her take off a little bit during the last five minutes of the first half.
chance exactly felt noise team
I felt like this team had a chance to make some noise and do some things. I didn't know exactly how.
country good group nearly recruit tall team
Obviously, I probably need to recruit some tall players, but we've been pretty good with that group all year. But I don't think there's a team in the country that's nearly as big as Tennessee.
basic chance developing ending goals leading league positive season side talk talked team terms win
What I talk about in terms of our team is developing and getting better at the little things. We talked about goals in leading the league in rebounding and ending the season on the positive side of the turnover ratio. Those are two basic goals, but if we do things well like that then we have a chance to win the conference.
focus known offensive struggled team
I think we lacked focus to detail, something this team has been known for. We all struggled to find an offensive rhythm.
army coach fighting forward four future group honored kept last looking opportunity proud saying start women
I just want to start by saying that I've never been so proud of a group of young women as I was in the last four months. They have been through so much and really just kept fighting back. I'm so honored and proud to have the opportunity to coach these young women, and I'm looking forward to the future of Army basketball.
balanced biggest gotten kids last number score year
The biggest thing has been balanced scoring. We've had a number of kids who didn't look to score as much last year and have gotten them more involved.
bumps goose talking
I'm getting goose bumps right now talking about it.
felt fired four front game happen looked lose smarter
I'm 28 years old. I'm going to go here and I could lose every game and get fired in four years. But I'll be 32 and I'll still have a lot in front of me and I'll be a smarter person for it. That's kind of how I looked at it. Worst-case scenario, what could happen is I could fail, but I still felt like I'd come out on top.
career carries deals happy himself impressed obviously played proud year
I'm so proud and impressed and really happy for how his career has played out. That has a lot to do with how he carries himself and how he deals with people. It's not just this year, obviously this year is great, but I'm just so proud of his whole career.
knew last seen since surprise though
That's Candace. I've seen her do that since she was 15, 16 years old. I knew it was going to come one of these days, and so it doesn't surprise me. I don't think we'll be the last though ? in this tournament.
arenas country everybody feeling noise
I've been in a lot of arenas around the country and there is nothing like a cadet crowd. It's not just the noise and how they get into the game. It's the camaraderie and the feeling that everybody is in this together. It's a family.
girls shame winning
There won't be any shame in us not winning this game. At the same time, our girls have a lot of pride. They want to keep playing.
This isn't something that's going to go away.
