alone chance gave near nobody ran straight super underdog worry year
You know, we've been an underdog all year long. And that's fine. I don't worry about the odds-makers and all that stuff. Nobody even gave us a chance near the end of the season, after we ran off 11 straight games, that we would even play for the NFC Championship, let alone the Super Bowl.
anybody best deserves expected great injuries job key managing maybe people record
If anybody deserves it, he does. I don't think a lot of people expected us to be where we're at right now. They expected us to be second, or maybe even third, in our division. But he's done a great job of managing the players. Through all the injuries we've had to key guys, here we are with the best record in the NFL.
I don't think it's that big a deal.
averages ball carries game guy maybe yards
I don't know where that comes from. You tell me. The guy carries the ball 25 times a game and averages 100 yards a game. I don't think that's soft. Maybe because he does it with a smile.
definitely noticing people start winning
If we keep winning on Sundays, ... people are definitely going to start noticing us.
doubt healthy next ready whatever
No doubt, we have to get No. 37 back. Whatever we have to do, (we have) to find a way to get him back and healthy in the lineup and ready to play next week.
calls year
Matt's made calls like that all year long.
alone beginning chance gave near nobody overcome ran season sentiment straight super
Nobody gave us a chance at the beginning of the season to make it to the Super Bowl. Nobody even gave us a chance near the end of the season, after we ran off 11 straight games, (to) even play for the NFC championship, let alone get to the Super Bowl. I feel like that's a sentiment we've had to overcome all year. Each time we've overcome that challenge, and I feel like we'll do the same this time.
ankle good
I had two ankle surgeries. That's not so good if you're a runner.
locked next ready whoever
With Darrell back, we got all of our weapons; we are locked and loaded. We are ready for whoever comes in here next Sunday.
game glamorous guys love nuts
You have to be nuts to do what I do. It's not necessarily a glamorous position. You have to really love the game because most guys don't want to play it.
allen came couple felt home last los saved signed weeks worked
We were down there for a couple of weeks working out and everything, which was very weird, very, very weird. I'd just signed a new contract, I felt at home in Seattle, and the last place I wanted to be was Los Angeles. Fortunately, Mr. Allen came in and saved the team, and it all worked out.
basically came career history marked offense remember season struggling
We came from basically the bottom. I remember when I first got here in '93, we were 6-10 and had just come off a 2-14 season and . . . had the third-worst offense in the history of the NFL. We were a struggling bunch. I didn't know if my whole career would be marked by disappointment.
