biggest bit change court driving four guys intent obviously offense open spent spread three time utilize
The biggest adjustments obviously have been the change from three guys out to four guys out. We've spent a lot of time on the offense and the intent of that is to spread the court a little bit more and open driving lanes to utilize their quickness.
guys kick pat response
There are some guys you have to kick in the butt to get the response you want. There are some you need to pat on the back. He's one you need to pat on the back.
best challenge compliment guys program understand younger
I think that is something that probably some of our younger guys don't understand is that you're going to see everybody's best effort, and that is a compliment to the program but is also a challenge to our guys.
ball both chris field guard guys problem responsibility shoots
He's a real problem with the way he shoots the ball both from the field and from the line. Chris Rodgers will have the assignment, but as we have with most teams, there will be a lot of switching, so it will be the responsibility of all the perimeter guys (to guard Stephens).
afford approach guys home mental ready time top
Our mental approach will be solid. Our guys know what it is going to take to end up on top of the league. It is a long haul. You can't afford not to be ready to play every time out, home or away.
accomplish count developed game guys hoped inside man step
I hoped our inside game would have developed better. We have been very inconsistent there. We need a big man to step up and that is what we are going to try to accomplish this week, to get one of those guys so we can count on them to go in there and do the job.
guys sure
I'm not sure you're going to see many frontline guys with that many steals.
guys sure
I'm not sure you're going to see many front-line guys with that many steals.
bennett case coach gotten guys involved played since system three understand wants
They've played well ever since Dick Bennett has gotten there. It's been a case where guys have been involved (in the program) for two or three years. They understand the system and know they need to do the things coach wants them to do if they want to be successful.
absolutely best boards courage following game hammered heart michigan overtime seen state sustain team
We just got absolutely hammered on the boards but Michigan State does that to a lot of people. I want to acknowledge the courage and the heart of that team following what I thought was the best preseason game I've ever seen to go to another overtime and be able to sustain that effort.
great last tough week
It was tough last week without Hassan. He's a great competitor. The more there is on the line, the better he plays. He's a winner. We need his leadership. It was great to have him back.
believe inside reach
I still believe we can reach those goals. We do need to have more of an inside presence.
best buy deeper game influenced league maybe ourselves ready split washington
Washington and ourselves split and we went a game deeper in the league tournament. Maybe it is best to play 10 out of your first 11 at home. They say they're not going to be influenced by a team's record, but I'm not ready to buy that.
hardest played question smartest team
There's no question the team that played the hardest and the smartest ... won.
