happens plays season tough win
It's tough to end the season this way. But big plays win big games. That's just the way it happens sometimes.
biggest core guys line michael offensive rushing threats tight
It's not just Michael Vick, ... That's where a lot of guys get lost. You've got Dunn, T.J. Duckett, they have a core of receivers, that tight end (Alge) Crumpler. And their offensive line is great. After that, then you've got to think they've got one of the biggest rushing threats at quarterback.
given guys matter
It was a matter of opportunity. A lot of guys can do the same thing given the right situation. I don't think it's anything more than that.
bull drill gotten pass repertoire rushes starting talk together
I've gotten in a lot more on the pass rushes. And I like it now. Before, pass rushes would be a drill where it would be like, 'Nah, I'm just going to go bull rush these guys.' ... Me and Kouts talk about that, too. Now I'm starting to put together a little repertoire and get after 'em.
above easier guys hanging love page run worry
It's easier to get 11 guys on the same page and not having to worry about hanging on to the ball. On defense, above all, you got to love to run and hit.
believing gap integrity
It's consistency. Everybody's maintaining their gap integrity and believing in the system. That's why I think we're doing so well.
comforting fall lets players
It's comforting to know that you are not in one of those dictatorships, where you just fall in line. He lets the players know he's there for them.
learn stay
We're going to stay optimistic, and learn something from this.
goals
We still have a lot to prove. We have to reset our goals now and make new ones.
base blitz stuff
We play our base stuff well. Well enough where we haven't had to blitz as much.
challenge cover exploit man people prepare throw
A lot of people think Vick just kills you with his feet, ... but he's got a rifle. He's a quarterback. The man can throw the ball. And if you don't cover that, he's just going to exploit you. So you've got to prepare for all of it. It's a challenge we're up for, or else we wouldn't be playing.
adjusting couple field good guy job late leaked pass picked third
A big thing is to get off the field on third down. A couple times they max-protected and then leaked out a guy late (into pass patterns). They did a good job adjusting on the fly. They picked up some of our blitzes really well.
egg field goose held job
That's what our job is. We wanted that goose egg up there, but we held them to just field goals. It's up to us just to keep getting better every week.
