adjusting couple field good guy job late leaked pass picked third
A big thing is to get off the field on third down. A couple times they max-protected and then leaked out a guy late (into pass patterns). They did a good job adjusting on the fly. They picked up some of our blitzes really well.
good life people rock shut time
Know when to have a good time and when to shut it down and be responsible. This is your job. It's not just a party. I know people think it's the life of a rock star. It has its time.
along faces good guys lost luckily replaced season system
We had a lot of new faces on this team, and luckily it didn't take a whole season to come together. It's a system of interchangeable parts. We lost a lot of good guys along the way and just replaced them.
both feet good hopefully inches scary wake
He's 6-3. I'm hopefully 6 feet on a good day, when I just wake up. I tell him, 'Why don't you just give me two inches of height, we'd both be right there at 6-1.' If he was, it would be scary to see, the way he hits.
thank
I just want to thank you for your unwavering support.
fortunate forward looking position ready
I'm just fortunate to be in this position and I'm looking forward to the challenge, ... I'm not nervous, just excited. I'm ready for it.
award care super trying
I'm trying to get a Super Bowl. That's the only award I care about.
bull drill gotten pass repertoire rushes starting talk together
I've gotten in a lot more on the pass rushes. And I like it now. Before, pass rushes would be a drill where it would be like, 'Nah, I'm just going to go bull rush these guys.' ... Me and Kouts talk about that, too. Now I'm starting to put together a little repertoire and get after 'em.
believing gap integrity
It's consistency. Everybody's maintaining their gap integrity and believing in the system. That's why I think we're doing so well.
comforting fall lets players
It's comforting to know that you are not in one of those dictatorships, where you just fall in line. He lets the players know he's there for them.
given guys matter
It was a matter of opportunity. A lot of guys can do the same thing given the right situation. I don't think it's anything more than that.
angles change running second somebody within
Angles change every second within a play, ... You don't ever see somebody running straight. That's why I think the 40 is overrated. And not just because I didn't run it well.
game gives knowing number prepare
Everything is structured. He gives you a number of things to prepare for the week. You go to the game knowing what to expect.
We weren't there to have conversations with him.
