energy five gave great knows mindset prepare stays tonight
He was big for us tonight. He's been around for five years; he knows how to prepare for games. He knows the right mindset to have, and he stays focused. Tonight he gave us great energy off the bench.
believe fan forward front good home looking students walk willing
Some of our students have said they would be willing to walk to see us play. I believe them because we get such good fan support. I'm looking forward to it because it's always good to play in front of a home crowd.
affect bothering shooting shoulder
My shoulder is actually still pretty sore, but it doesn't affect my shooting as much as my defense. You have to go out there and play like nothing is bothering you. If you don't, you are not going to play as well.
care grades instilled parents school taught work
My parents always kind of instilled in me that grades are important. You need to take care of your school work and you need to do that first, and that's kind of what they taught me.
blocked ended face hard shot
I probably should have pump-faked and jumped into him. But I didn't. I shot it. He put it right back in my face and I ended up on the ground. That's how hard he blocked it.
bed chance hotel leave spend time
They'll come over to the hotel, but we don't get a chance to spend a lot of time with them. We don't leave the hotel to see them. They come to see us and we get to bed early.
focused games player prepares shows tremendous work
He's really focused and really intense. He prepares for games really well. He has a tremendous work ethic. He does his homework, so as a player that shows you that you need to work on your game to improve.
anyone game tough understand
I don't know (how anyone will). The way they've been playing, they're tough to stop. They play so well together. They understand the game and they know their strengths. They're just tenacious.
biggest definitely finger floor good great looked moment particular pin playing runs summer talented
I don't know if there is one particular moment that I can pin my finger on. But over the summer when we were playing pick-up, he definitely looked good, and I thought he was going to be very good because he's so talented for his size. He's got great hands. He runs the floor so well, and I think that's probably his biggest asset.
bit contribute couple days excited felt good happy last next percentage progress quite saturday tough week
I don't know if I can put a percentage on it. It's tough to say. Some days are a little better than other days. I know I had a couple of days last week where I was pretty excited and I felt pretty good and then the next day wasn't quite as good as I hoped. I think I've been pretty happy with the progress that we've made so far. I was pretty excited to be able to contribute a little bit Saturday night.
maybe team
I didn't know that. Maybe we'll do as well as that team did.
bench definitely five games good helped start tough win
I definitely think we'd probably be back in class. It would be tough to play without good bench players, and they're not just bench players. They're really good. I mean, they could start and they've really helped us out. You can't win many games with five guys.
floor gets leader minutes offense plays scoring
He's the leader on the floor for us. He pretty much plays all the minutes at point. Him on the floor, he gets us in our offense well. He doesn't have to be scoring for us to play well.
A lot of my friends called from home. I got it pretty good.
