forest game raise wake
We haven't done anything yet. All this does is raise the stakes. Makes the Wake Forest game that much more important.
coaches eight enviable fans five forget home night proud stand won worse
We could have won all those eight games. If we look at it overall, we're 53-8 in five years. That's an enviable place to be. ... Without a question, where we are and what we've done is something to be proud of. But as coaches you always look at those eight. Those are the ones that stand out, and it's always going to be that way. The fans look at the eight, but coaches are worse than fans because we can't go home at night and forget about them.
advantage great painful players tremendous university win
Having these players come back is a tremendous advantage because they know what it's all about. They know how painful it is to lose. They know how great it is to win at the University of Miami.
emphasis football good positive
I can't put too much emphasis on the positive of a football game. But it is a good diversion.
knocked understanding
From my understanding, they were knocked unconscious with a helmet.
bit easy edge good hard last players relax success
From last night, I know I've got a little bit of edge and I think our players will have a little bit of an edge, and I think that can be a good thing. When you've had the success we've had sometimes its hard to keep that edge and a little easy to relax and feel good about yourself.
doubt might nfl people player potential reach tend wants
If a player wants to be the man, this might not be the place for him. It's very competitive here; that's one thing the NFL people like so much, ... You tend to reach your potential here more often than in other places, no doubt about it.
finger guess guys last point talented
I don't think we have slipped talent-wise. I think we're talented enough to play with anybody. But I do sense our guys are not happy, not satisfied, and they shouldn't be, with last season. There really was some embarrassment there for all of us. No doubt, there is a sense of urgency. We need to go out with excitement, with hunger, every week. We had that at times last season, but not all the time. I guess you could point the finger at me, but we did not play with consistency.
entire played stopped
I don't think we stopped playing. I don't think we played the entire day.
days game missed ready
I don't think it's a big deal. It's not like he missed two days and we're getting ready to play a game tomorrow.
happened
I don?t know what happened and I don?t condone it.
last looked miami might season terrible throwback time
I don't know when's the last time Miami had a terrible season and looked terrible on the field. But that first half, that might have been a throwback to that time.
certainly earn good team toward win
Certainly a good win for us. ... But I told our team be very complimentary toward Colorado. They really made us earn everything we got. Nothing easy.
defensive liked line seen share won
I would have liked to have seen them play better, to be honest. The first-team defensive line won that battle, and they've done that their share of the time.
