against appealing area beat came definitely division great improve positive situation talented teams tough
(Brandon) is a great player, but you can't beat the kind of teams he got to play against once he got on our team. And that's definitely appealing to Division I coaches. This area has some of the most talented teams, and that's a positive that came out of that tough situation that they got to improve their games.
appreciation call good grow hearing improved longer player trying watching
I have a new appreciation for him because I'm with him longer now. Watching him play and grow as a player and a person so that makes me feel good ... just hearing my friends call me that watching him play how much they think he's improved and he's trying to do what we want.
cheering good improved kid people player please team
He's the most improved player I think I've ever coached, and he's as good a kid as I've ever been around. He does things for our team to please me to a fault, but you get enough like that and we'll have some people cheering for us.
coaching happens hope improves
If something happens and it improves our team, it happens. If something doesn't happen you've got to keep coaching and hope you coach them better.
although areas games good improvement injury last news talked today
I talked to Channing today and we already started listing those areas of improvement for the summer. Although we are disappointed we won't have him for the last 18 games of the season, it was good news that the injury was not any worse.
improved player
He's improved more than any player I've ever coached.
excuses front guard improved kept people smart talk team
You've got to be smart and your team has got to talk and you've got to adjust. We can make excuses about that but we have not improved that area. We have not kept people in front of us very well. It's something we've just got to keep working on and working on, because if we don't, you'll never be able to guard in this league.
fun loved played shared trying watch
I loved the effort. We shared the ball, and it was more fun to watch with them trying like they did. We played hard, and we played unselfishly. I thought we were ready.
game loved people tried
I loved the way he was aggressive, ... I loved the way he tried to get other people involved. I loved the way he tried to guard. I told the people before the game he would play great.
caught coaching expected games hope people race trying won
I never expected this. But again, I don't get caught up in records. It's disappointing, obviously, that we've only won 19 games and we're not in the race for the playoffs, but the only thing you can keep doing is trying to get better, keep coaching and hope that people understand.
struggled sure teams
I'm sure I've been 0-3 a lot, ... And most of my teams have struggled early.
audition guys stuff
I know what we have. You guys know what we have. There's no audition. That audition stuff has been over a long time.
amazing asked bad paid positive record
It's sometimes amazing to me, you see our record and you see how positive he is. I feel bad. I'm being paid a lot of money, I've been asked to do something, make changes, make us better, and I feel bad that it's going like this.
best career everybody guys hold looks physically shooter special spend
It's so special when guys spend their whole career with one team. (Reggie) still looks like he can play to me. I think everybody used to say that physically he wouldn't hold up. He's amazing. He's the best shooter I've ever been around.
