I'm sure he feels so much better and so much more confident this year than last, ... I just look forward to catching up with him.
You know, ... I'm pretty sure I'm going to be an Arizona Cardinal.
It was just the design of the defense, ... They were doing certain things certain ways, and it's kind of the nature of the beast. One guy in this offense has a lot of success. It can be somebody completely different the next game. Larry did a great job running his routes and making plays.
I'm fighting that battle not to have that go through my mind, ... Right now it's just working, rehabbing and getting ready, getting to 100 percent, doing what I do, and letting all the chips fall where they may.
I'm the wrong guy to ask. I'm only doing seven-step drops out there.
A perfect scenario, a perfect place to be in. But then a lot of times it's more disappointing when you don't get it done in a situation like that.
We just made some mistakes. We killed ourselves. It wasn't physical. It was mental. That's the frustrating part. You know physically you match up pretty well with them.
We just gave up too many big, key plays, and it turned on us really quickly, and we weren't able to dig ourselves out of the hole.
To have him doing the things he did early in the spring, and then getting injured so early in camp I think we are all excited about adding him to the mix. He's very athletic and he can do some things out there that I think are going to help us tremendously. It's an exciting time for him to get back out there but also for us to get a gear on where he is at.
When you lose this game you feel like you've lost an opportunity. So you put pressure on yourself to try to do more to get back the next season. I think we tried to do too much the next season.
Everybody expects me to be that quarterback, too,
I've been here a lot of times when I had everybody in here cheering for me and I don't know if I fed off it, but I definitely know I was focused and feeling good.
I've been in a lot of places where I haven't had offensive lines that can just manhandle guys one-on-one, ... but if you get on the right guy, you pick up the right guy, you give your skill players a chance to make a play, and that's where you're successful.
This isn't anything major, just disappointing. Obviously this is going to take the rest of the season, so that's the disappointing part of it. I'm just thankful that it is what it is, that it will not require any surgery, and that it will be a three to four week injury.
