coaching comparable game son watching worked
I don't get too worked up, but coaching in an SEC game and watching your son play in a big game are pretty comparable (on the nerves). But I want him to do well, that's for sure.
defense few fine good played ran tennessee turned
I was fine with how we ran our offense, and I was fine with how we played defense. We turned it over a few more than our average. Tennessee is good at making you do that.

Last year we were a game or two away. This year we're a game or two away.
consistent good nice player year
Shan is an outstanding player. He's had a very good year for us. He's been a pretty consistent player for us, which is a nice thing to be called when you're only a sophomore.

Most teams in this league have a terrific balance when it comes to players that are skilled and athletic. We're looking for the best balance we can find.
catching coming difficult far florida game habit league loss obviously places seems team time tough
Obviously we've got yet another game where we're catching a team at a tough time coming off a tough loss and it seems like we've made a habit of that so far in the league season. Florida is always one of the most difficult places to play in the league. ... It will be a difficult task.

We got a much needed win at South Carolina on Saturday. I like how our team is playing. We feel like we've played solid basketball over the last two or three weeks.

When you have a guy who can control the speed and pace of a game, it makes a huge difference for teams.
care emergency great medical mike quite trainer turned
Without going into great details, it turned into quite the emergency situation. Our trainer Mike Meyer was courtside and was phenomenal. We called 911 and the paramedics got there shortly. Fortunately, he had great medical care and he's doing fine. He's going to be fine.

We've certainly enjoyed the bye week and having the opportunity to try to get our legs back under us a little bit.
finish half hook
We didn't finish the first half well. We kind of let them off the hook a little bit.
extremely grateful life means mike playing prognosis rest saved truly
While we are extremely disappointed that this means the end of Davis' playing career, we're very grateful that the prognosis for the rest of his life is good. Mike Meyer is truly a hero. He single-handedly saved the life of Davis.
few minutes pace push run tempo
We wanted to push the tempo and run it more and I thought we did, especially after the first few minutes of the game. When the pace got up, it favored us.
confidence game guys happiest happy high level ok surprised
I told the guys after the game that I was happiest that they weren't surprised. I could feel a very high level of confidence in that room. It's OK if they're surprised about the big win, but I'm happy they're not.
