If you make a mistake at Turn 1, you're not going to lose a lap. That's a good change. I think all the improvements are really good.
I knew if I could get up his rear bumper I had a chance. I knew where I wanted to be but I couldn't get there.

The car needed to be loosened up and Shane has been here for a lot of races and knows what he's doing.

A great day for the U.S. Coast Guard Chevrolet. We got in the back of the No.5 there and got a little fender damage but Shane (Wilson) did a great job keeping the car freed up and keep it turning at the end of the race.
You understand that things can't just happen overnight. They laid out a plan and explained it to us and just said, 'Here is what we want to do, here is where we need to get better,' and we have been chipping away at it ever since.
You can only learn so much from testing, and after a while you need times like this to make sure you're going in the right direction. It's really when you get in the action with cars around you that you know it's time to go racing again. All we can do is hope we're ready. Honestly, I've never felt as prepared for a season as I do this year.
He and I have committed to moving forward together in fulfilling our current agreement, which runs through 2006, and we anticipate being together for many years beyond that. Our focus is on continuing to improve our performance this year and being a championship contender in 2006.
I love restrictor plate racing. It reminds me of going to the go-kart track with your buddy's and just running wide open. But this year has not been much fun. We have had a top-five car at both Daytona and Talladega. We have stayed up front and put ourselves around good cars. It has been very frustrating to be honest. Hopefully we can avoid the wreck this Sunday. I know the (fabrication) shop feels the same way.

The truck was really fast, we just couldn't get a long enough green flag run there toward the end to get a good run on Todd and Skinner. But we were fast. Randy Goss, David Dollar and everyone on the No. 47 team and at Morgan Dollar gave me an awesome truck to drive tonight. We ran out of time to get back up there and race them for win.
That's exactly the reason I'm leaving RCR because you've got those punk-ass kids coming up. They've got no respect for what they do in this sport and they've had everything fed to them with a spoon.
To be honest with you, I walked into media day (in February at Daytona), and there were two people standing in line to conduct interviews, so from day one of this year, everybody’s kind of written us off.
