break confidence game pressure suits ton
They were just flying. A game like this suits them well. The (Olympic) break did them a world of good. They have a ton of confidence and they put a lot of pressure on people.
anybody demanding hard himself honest player pressure special talk themselves
He has an honest appraisal of himself. He's hard on himself and he's demanding of himself. That's what makes special players. You talk to anybody who is a special player in the league... They put more pressure on themselves than anybody else does.
competent develop everybody extra feeling gets good level opportunity players pressure proper skating skill special terrific
He's real impressive. His skill level and his skating level are incredible. I think that he's a special player, but I don't think there is much extra pressure on him right now. I think right now he's able to find his own level because we are competent back there. We have good players back there so he's going to be able to develop at the proper pace. But when you have a player who is that strong, everybody gets excited. And I think we are all feeling like this is a terrific opportunity for him and the franchise.
adding awhile came carolina effective game himself kept last pile played pressure year
He put a lot of pressure on himself last year when Carolina started making those changes. He just kept adding to the pile there and he put too much pressure on himself to try to do everything. He came here and after awhile he just played his game and was very, very effective for us.
fighting talked
We talked about fighting right to the end. We did and we got two points.
game jon saw sharp
We just saw Jon Sim in one game and it was excellent, so we know that has potential, and that's a place where Sharp may play some minutes.
love player reckless seems success type
We just love his competitiveness. He's a reckless player, and that type of player seems to have a lot of success in the NHL right now.
carries confident guys mike motivated pro reminds younger
We just want the younger guys around confident people. Mike is a guy who doesn't need much direction. He's already motivated -- he reminds you of a 10-year pro the way he carries and handles himself.
bit emotional goal hit loss needed quite seemed three took
We just had an emotional week, and I think yesterday's loss took quite a bit out of us. We hit three goal posts, and we seemed to not have the energy, especially offensively, to do the things we needed to do.
game hockey pay prepared price start team toronto win
We weren't prepared to pay the price to win the hockey game at the start and when you give a team like Toronto a sniff, they're going to make you pay a price.
critical energy errors fed lies ten third
We were overwhelmed in the first ten minutes, that's my responsibility. We made critical errors on the first, second, and third goals. They fed off the energy and that lies on me.
city fans work
We were overwhelmed in the first 10 minutes, that's my responsibility. We were embarrassed for our fans and we were embarrassed for the city of Philadelphia. ... We've got a lot of work to do.
attitude desperate follow game heavy instead plow start state team toronto wrong
We had the wrong attitude to start the game. They play a heavy game, they play an old NHL game and we wanted to play around the game instead of plow through it. When you give a team that's in a desperate state like Toronto some hope, they're going to follow through.
attitude start wrong
We had the wrong attitude to start the game.
