fear guys love type whatever whether
I don't know whether it's the fear of getting embarrassed or whatever but we've got a lot of competitive guys and we really love to play in these type of games.
expect record tough wayne whatever
I can just tell you on record that whatever happens, we need and want Wayne there. He is our leader. He got us through some tough times in '02 and we expect him to get us through some tough times in '06.
almost game locked reason whatever
For whatever reason we waded into the series. We almost got away with one in Game 1, but we're locked in now. Hopefully, we can make it really interesting, but emotionally we're locked in.
almost game locked seems team whatever
For whatever reason, this team just seems to wade into things. We waded into this series. We almost got away with one in Game 1. We didn't get away with it in Game 2. We're locked in now.
peter whatever
Whatever Peter decides, he'll have our support. He's not going to play if he's not 100 percent.
country either full holding injury might percent playing spot support sure until weeks whatever
Whatever he decides, we'll support him. But he's already said he's not going to play until he's 100 percent -- either here or there. Who knows? This might be a two-week injury and he might need a full two weeks to get healthy. I'm not sure if their country is holding a spot for him, but he's not playing until he's 100 percent.
good happens hockey next playing start trying waiting weekend whatever
I know about playing back-to-backs, and they're up there waiting for us. Whatever happens in that game, if we play the right way, we'll feel good about it. You don't want to start next weekend trying to find your hockey game.
kid lived pay player season special ticket unique watch whatever
If I lived in Washington, I would pay whatever the season ticket was to watch this kid play. He's a special player, a unique player who comes around once every 10 years.
discussion intense july losing response sure team time winning
The only thing I know is that we've always responded to losing in a really intense fashion. The response to winning has been our problem. I'm not sure why; that's probably a discussion for July or August. But it's been the M.O. of our team for a long time now.
goes help side steps today took work wrong
When you haven't won, it isn't going to be a masterpiece when you try to get the thing back. We took some steps today but we have work to do. You get on the wrong side of things and it's not one thing that goes wrong, it's a lot. We made some steps today to really help ourselves.
eight energy hard nine penalties players power rhythm seven
When you have as many penalties as we've got going on right now, it's really hard to keep a rhythm on power play. We try to play as many units as we can, because if we're going to get seven or eight or nine power plays, it's hard to keep that energy because players get tired.
battles gauge good heaviest team
When you look at a team like Ottawa, to me that's a good gauge on your team and individuals. They still have the heaviest team in battles and competitiveness.
emotion emotions ready
We were tentative, but once we got angry, we got some emotion and we were ready to go.
build defense eric games great guys join offensive saw six top
We saw 12-14 games where we had our top six guys back there. Our defense on the back end was awesome. When we were healthy, we had a great group. We could defend, we could join the rush, we could be offensive and we could do anything. Getting Joni and Eric back will give us something to build on after the break.
