career few finish games good great healthy hoping impact john last management mark planning praying question stay whether
If John is healthy like he was for the first 20 games or so last year, then we know we have a great player. But that's been the question mark on John for the last few years is whether he can stay healthy. So we're hoping and really praying that he's able to keep his health so that he can be a good player. If he's healthy he's going to be an impact player. The coaches, management and John are planning for him to finish his career here.
both games together tremendous
The two games they were together there was tremendous chemistry. They want to play together. They both really want it badly, and we're going to take a look at that.
beating games inside loose lose people practice time
Beating people one-on-one, getting to loose pucks, those are all the things you lose if you get this much time off. And that's why we're scrimmaging at practice. We're having little games inside of the practice themselves.
business care friday games home win
Could I give you that on Friday night? We have to win our home games and take care of business there.
constantly difficult fans games playoff road seen win
I've seen our fans just will us in playoff games. I think home-ice is something you need. It's very important. It's real difficult when you constantly have to win road games in the playoffs.
curious defining excited games message next series whether
I am excited and curious to see how we respond. In games 5, 6 and 7, you get a defining message on what you are going to be down the road, whether it's the next series or whatever.
carter couple games kids plate played richards took
Oh, yeah. These kids are 20 years old and it's a lot to put on their plate right off the bat. This is a whole other level, and it took them a couple games to get into it. But Carter and Richards really played well (in Game 3).
bad chance games might wait
It's just bad luck. We feel like we might as well get it done now. If we wait 25 games and he's sore, he won't get a chance to play (healthy) down the line.
games knew stake win
We knew what was at stake here. We need to win these games if we are going to improve.
bang change games guys knew locker played rooms switch
We knew they were going to play games for us, but to switch locker rooms before we even played a game, we never even thought about that stuff. We had our 23 guys and we thought that was it, then bang, bang things change dramatically.
far focused games
We're so far removed from the end of the season. There are still 20 games to go. We're all focused on our own group.
against elite games good guy leadership league means player thinks
His leadership for me has come because he's confident. He's a good player in the league now and he thinks he has a good feel for the game, which he does. He's been in the big games against elite opponents, which means he is a guy who has matured.
build defense eric games great guys join offensive saw six top
We saw 12-14 games where we had our top six guys back there. Our defense on the back end was awesome. When we were healthy, we had a great group. We could defend, we could join the rush, we could be offensive and we could do anything. Getting Joni and Eric back will give us something to build on after the break.
games good played tonight
We've played some good games for 45 or 50 minutes. Tonight we played 60 minutes.
