guys hopefully proud start
We're proud of these young guys and hopefully this is just the start for them,
few obviously rest weeks
We're obviously very concerned. I don't want to speculate, but it could be a few weeks or it could be the rest of the season.
cadillac couple deny drafted fact felt good looked michael mike practice productive smart takes williams
We feel like he did get a lot of reps on the practice field, we feel like we did play him extensively in the first couple games, ... He's a good back. Hopefully, he catches on with another team. You can't deny the fact that No. 33 (Graham) has looked very good here. We drafted Cadillac Williams , Michael Pittman has been a productive back here, Derek Watson is still in the mix, so when you couple that with the fact that Mike Alstott is also going to play the tailback position, we felt it was good for Ian Smart to look elsewhere. Hopefully, someone else takes a look at him.
advantage excited physical taken tonight
We feel like Buenning has really taken advantage of his opportunity, ... He's a physical guy, and we're really excited about him. But we'll see where Stinchcomb is tonight and go from there.
mind runs
Some of those runs you will never forget. And you may never see them again. Those are the one where you say 'Oh, my God! Oh, my God!' They are runs etched in your mind forever.
combined factor huge winning
That combined is a huge factor in winning and losing.
certainly coming fans opinion owners players talking
My opinion is just a sidebar in this certainly controversial time. We are talking about owners and players coming to an agreement. It will take time. It's frustrating for fans and everyone.
choices develop drafts five good guys helps job program second seven six string team
It helps if you have a string of five or six or seven good drafts to develop a team. It helps when you have your draft choices on your team and in your program because guys do get better. Heck, I got better at my job in my second year.
great guy hard hope kid losing regretted spike tough worked
I just hope Will Heller doesn't spike one at me on Sunday. He's a great kid and he's a guy that really worked hard to get what he has, not being drafted. We regretted losing Will but unfortunately sometimes you have to make some tough decisions.
game good gut officially reminding
I just have to keep reminding myself that that the game is officially over. That was a real gut check. Things did not look for good for a while.
approach bars extremely fit gold great guy impressive looking quite sets standards
His demeanor, his temperament, I think is going to fit in quite well with how we approach things here on defense. The standards are extremely high. Ian Gold is a guy that sets his bars extremely high. He is an impressive guy. ... He's got a lot to prove, and I think he is looking at this as a great opportunity.
break cadillac durable good guy hoped inside run williams
Cadillac Williams is off to a very good start, ... He is what he is. He is a durable guy that can run inside or out. He is a guy if he can break through there, he can get going pretty good. So, yes, he did what we hoped he would do.
chance eye offense tough
But he's as tough as they get. The look in his eye is going to give our offense a chance every Sunday.
beaten dwell fist football hell negatives physically positive quality roll team tested
But in some ways, this is a real positive for our football team, for us to be tested in this way. We physically got beaten by a quality football team (Carolina). You can dwell on the negatives or you can do something about it and roll your fist up and play a hell of a lot better.
