Johnny David Damonis an American professional baseball outfielder who began playing in Major League Baseballin 1995. He last played in 2012, though he has not officially retired. In his MLB career, Damon has played for the Kansas City Royals, Oakland Athletics, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Detroit Tigers, Tampa Bay Raysand Cleveland Indians. Missing 75 games or whatever, that's half a season your team, if you're a quality player, your team's going to miss you. I think it's a positive step for the union. Unfortunately, you can't make everyone happy. Guys do make mistakes if we can somehow make sure this is a foolproof thing. We want to make sure guys know what they're being busted for.

We were shown all the scenarios after the game and we were kind of in awe. A lot of guys thought it was runs scored, so we thought maybe we'd have to go out and try and beat South Africa by a lot of runs. But it's runs allowed, and the South Africa score does not count. That's strange, too.

I knew when it was hit they were definitely going to be in trouble unless somebody called the ball. Those guys are so important to our team, we need them to get healthy as quick as possible.
