We were pretty beat up last week. That's not an excuse. I'm not taking anything away from Osceola because they've got a very good football team. I would have liked to have played against them with everyone healthy.

Sterling and Scooter are great character guys to have on your team. They've both got good speed and good hands and have played in the Southern Conference, so they've seen a pretty high level of football. They both can catch the ball in traffic and that's a key indoors. There's not a lot of space out there, so they've got to be able to take a hit.

I just want to repeat the point that this is not supposed to be a speedy method but a good government option. The process should be reasoned, reasonable and it should not be easy.

Everything today went really well. My mechanics felt better than that one inning I threw against the Korean team. The breaking balls still aren't there yet, but my fastball and changeup felt real good.

I was happy with the way I was pitching, but I needed to go deeper in games. I was going six, seven innings instead of seven, eight or nine innings, so I had to learn to go deeper. Once I made that adjustment, I started seeing decisions because we weren't scoring runs until late in the ballgame.

It definitely changes the way the ball feels. If you get a new baseball, it's slick, it's hard to hold on to. If you put some mud on it, it gives you a better grip.

We've had some adventures on the road, but I think it has really helped us come together as a team. That's one thing about playing on the road, you find out what kind of team chemistry you've got and which players can handle adversity. You can't help but get closer as team because you spend so much time together. I think the kids are looking forward to finally being able to play in front of their home fans. I know I am. I think it's going to be a great atmosphere.
