good
It's just good to have him out there. He'll get better the more he's out there.
almost believe die establish natural rookie starting sure time until whatever year
It's kind of a natural progression. The guy's got the stuff. He's starting to believe in himself, too. The first time up -- rookie year or whatever -- until you establish yourself, you're never sure if you belong. You feel like you almost live and die with every outing.
It's a sprain, no fracture, it's a sprain, ... I'm no doctor, but there's no break.
debut everybody fun hope luck saw wished yesterday
It's a big day for him. I saw him yesterday and wished him luck and told him to have fun out there. You only get that debut one time. He'll be nervous. He'll be scared. Everybody is -- and you hope he is. That's natural.
break
It was the break we needed, put it that way,
bats swung type
It was a slugfest type game. We swung the bats good. They had that one big inning.
good problems road team tough win
It will be good to get home. I think any team would've had problems with this trip. It's tough to win on the road in any sport. You just get more opportunities in baseball.
arm behind count easier erratic good pitch works
It was good to see him out there. He was erratic in his command. But he's got such a good arm that he can pitch from behind in the count at times. It will be easier for him when he works ahead.
against care earn feels good job nice pitch test time
It was good to have him back out there. He wasn't as sharp, but it's been two weeks. He's fine. He's healthy. He feels good. Any time you pitch against this team, I don't care how good you are, they test you. They make you earn everything you get and he did a nice job for us.
along help impression
They can make an impression and help us along the way. You never know what's going to happen.
bit job months nice struggled
They were raving about him two months ago. I think he's done a nice job for us. It's magnified at the end because he's struggled a little bit of late.
arm extra far starters week
That first week of the season, without having an off-day, you never know how far the starters are going to go. So we may need that extra arm down there.
might
That hurts. That might have put us back into that thing.
area few last pitches problem shut threw
It's in the same area he had the problem last year. He only threw a few pitches and we shut him down.
