building companies energy expected expense good group hit key last negative number reported talked week
I've talked about Key Energy Group for a while, and Capstone is one of the companies that's building these micro turbines that I think actually just reported last week and had a more negative number than expected because they've ramped up some of their production, As a result, that hit their expense line, ... But I think that's a good idea going forward.
good
Yeah, it was a good time, big boy.
changed companies earnings good greenspan growth mostly rather reporting seeing showing start suggested verge
This has been a pretty good start to the earnings reporting period, with about two-thirds of the companies topping estimates, but I don't think anything's really changed yet, ... Greenspan suggested that we may be on the verge of a growth period, which would be significant for earnings, because mostly what you're seeing now are companies showing improvements on cost-cutting, rather than real growth.
earnings good overall positive
I think that overall we are in for a pretty good earnings quarter, and that may be a positive for stocks.
good indicator likely market past seeing today week
I think what you're seeing today and over the past week is a good indicator of where the market is right now and will likely be through the end of the year.
balance good lots sector stay technology tend volatile volatility
I think it's good even to stay invested. We tend to like technology. But if you like technology, you're going to have lots of volatility because that sector is much more volatile than the other sectors. If you don't like the volatility, then it's good probably to balance that with something else, some other sector.
build dig element energy existing forward gas good holes key natural pipeline pump repair
I think that an important element of our energy going forward will be natural gas. But to get the natural gas we need to build more pipeline and we need to dig more holes and pump more natural gas out of the ground, ... As a result, we like natural gas. Key Energy will make the pipelines. It will repair the existing pipelines and keep them maintained. We think that is a good play in this area.
companies earnings good maybe negative percent positive range stock straight strong summer tone trading
I think we're in a good earnings season. So far, of the S&P 500, 139 companies have reported. Over 60 percent have been upward surprises, only 8 percent of them have really been negative surprises. So we're in a strong earnings season. That's good for the stock market, ... I think the market's in a trading range right now. I don't think it's going straight up from here. I don't think necessarily we're going to get a big summer rally, but maybe a positive tone to the market.
energy good higher improving increasing looking result sector
If you are looking for a sector that has good earnings, I think the energy sector is having increasing and improving earnings, as a result of the higher energy prices,
choice good later market missing portion risking volatility
The choice is between getting in now and risking near-term volatility or getting in later and missing a good portion of the market recovery,
bit earnings energy mean season starting
Energy's off a little bit today, but it doesn't mean that energy is going back down. We're starting into an earnings season and earnings will start to have an effect.
continue earnings mean multiple rates rising strong worry
Earnings have been strong and will continue to be strong, but there's a worry that rising rates will mean the multiple on the earnings will be less.
hearing offered players point starting
Salaries are going to come down. I'm hearing the players have already offered a 5 percent give-back, so that's the starting point for negotiations.
betting certain early higher investors likely march month months next prior rates release rise seems throwing towel until
Even just a month ago, prior to the release of the March payrolls number, there were some investors betting that rates wouldn't rise until early next year. Now, after two months of higher payrolls, it seems likely rates are set to rise, and so there's a certain throwing in of the towel for some investors.
