It's amazing when you think about how poorly we've played.

It'll be about 15 of us that will be on the route the whole way and we'll be joined each day by new folks from each community,

It really comes down to pitching and defense. We have to keep the ball down, and when they hit it, we have to catch it. We haven't done that, and that's why we're struggling.

We're going to try and match up as best we can. But we're going to have to pitch a bit differently than we normally do.

We're going to have to really execute defensively and make the routine plays to get outs. We're just trying to put our guys in the right position. Right now we've had a lot of changes in the infield, and now with injuries we have even more changes.

We were just leaving balls right in the middle of the plate, up, and you just can't do that with good hitters.

We didn't have a lot of time to prepare for them. Mattingly just played one-on-one with us.

They're way better than their record. They'll be as good as anybody offensively in the league.
best game job keeping super team threw
Abate threw his best game all year. He did a super job keeping the other team off balance.

That was a big statement by our team.

No second-guessing -- I'd do it again tomorrow. We just didn't execute the way we wanted to with that pitch.

I think we were lucky, because there were some big trees down on structures, including a mobile home where an elderly lady was inside.
