We know that Dallas isn't going to quit. We are up 3-0 and we want to do whatever we can not give them any momentum. We don't want to go back to Dallas if we don't have to. They have such a great hockey team over there and nobody here wants them to get a win and get on a roll.
We were just watching Marty work his magic. He was unbelievable tonight.
We were just trying to get two points, just trying to win a game. There was no sense getting carried away with anything. We just wanted to win a game and that's the most important thing.
When you're playing a lot of hockey, four days off is nice, only because it doesn't come often. You wouldn't want it every other week, but once in a while it's good for the body. We've been going since mid-September, so any time you can get it, it's not a bad thing. I don't mind the rest.
We didn't have our legs. It seemed guys were tired and flat. After a game like this where we were outplayed, you have to find a way. We have to get a rest, come back recharged and play with more confidence.
We're excited to get him in the pipes.
A lot of teams have lost different guys, ... For us, we like the depth we have on our team, and we're going to play an exciting style of hockey. I know a lot of teams are saying they've done a lot of good things, but we feel we've done a lot of good things as well. We signed a lot of quality people.
They got great goaltending, there's no question about that.
They have a great hockey club. We're back there next time, so hopefully we have a better performance.
They're in first in our division. We're trying to catch them,
They're a good hockey team. They're a hockey team that's fast and works their butts off.
They have such a great hockey club, they get a win, they get on a roll. Nobody here wants that to happen.
That's great. I think everybody is looking forward to the rest and to start watching the other series. It's not going to matter who we play.
You saw how a desperate team can play. They were all over us on the ice. That is a pretty good team over there. As a player you don't want the season to end. You want to keep playing.
