bit finally five four gas hit middle time tires tony trying
There was a little bit (of contact) with Tony trying to get by me. One time in the middle of (turns) 3 and 4, I think he hit me four or five times and I couldn't get any gas because my tires were off the ground. That's when he finally got by me on the inside.
car hit points practice strong
That was a pretty strong lap, ... In practice the car was a little looser. I hit all the same points and did all the same things but we just couldn't get it.
flat hit race start tough
Man, before we hit the start of the race we had a flat tire. It was a really tough day for us.
behind dove hit returned underneath
I got hit from behind going into the turn, I dove it in there and he got underneath me. If I could have got back up there, I would have returned the favor.
five four hit last leading lost momentum near needed points races reason stride top
Momentum and leading the points would be the same thing, ... Last year, we were near the top and lost the momentum. We didn't lead the points going into (the playoff), and the reason was that we weren't where we needed to be. We were doing everything we could, but we really hit our stride four or five races in.
build equivalent hitting home instantly momentum race run throwing
It's the equivalent of hitting a home run in your first at-bat or throwing for a touchdown with your first pass. This race can instantly build momentum for your team.
anybody department draws everybody fans football gains hit hope involved miles running safety theater walking wrecks
It's part of our sport. It's kind of like going to a football game, and you hope you see a big hit or a big tackle. It's part of the theater that's involved with our sport; it's part of what draws fans in. If we were out there in go-karts running 10 miles an hour, they wouldn't be watching. It's part of the risk. Of course, I don't want anybody to crash, I don't want to crash, but we've made a lot of gains in the safety department so that we are having wrecks and everybody is walking away.

aggressive car everybody feels hit knows sharp short slide tracks
I think sometimes we hit short tracks and everybody feels that they can be really aggressive and slide the car around. Jeff, he's sharp and knows what to do and how to make the car last.
clean decisions eight happen last lost mistakes racetrack start stay troubles weird year
We lost last year by eight points, and we had some troubles at the start of the Chase, ... This year, hopefully, we'll make the right decisions and not have any weird things happen to us, and I won't make any mistakes on the racetrack and stay clean throughout.
tough wind
The wind was really swirling. It was tough at times.
again career experience highlight hopefully media past quite week
Quite an experience (this past week of media frenzy). It was the highlight of my career and hopefully I can experience it again some day.
cars choose five nobody race says tear win
The thing I don't like, ... is the five Roush cars can go on a tear and nobody says anything, then we go out and win a race and so we've got to be cheating. It does get frustrating, but I choose to take it as a compliment.
aggressive care caused mistakes sit today
I've been aggressive before and made some mistakes that caused wrecks. Today I just wanted to sit and ride, and take care of things.
