believe best fired job telling trained
It was just telling them to do their best job ... get them fired up for the race. It was something that said, 'I believe in you guys, I've trained you well, do your job.
again asked best chad deal forward looking member situation step team tough
It's a tough situation without Chad, but it's asked every member of the team to step up and take on more responsibilities and to deal with different things. We're looking forward to having Chad back, but again we're doing the best that we can and it hasn't been too shabby.
best five top
We're doing the best we can (without Chad) and, hopefully, we can come out of here with another top five and take it from there.
believe best everybody fired job normal saying shot side stuff telling trained
Just telling them to do their best job, just the normal stuff to give everybody a shot in the arm, get them excited, get them fired up for the race. Something from his side saying 'I believe in you guys. I've trained you well, do your job today,' and everybody did.
best bother car deal follow gotten last next passed practice reason respect says somebody spending stood thinking time
For somebody who says it doesn't bother him, evidently it has. Indirectly, I guess, something's gotten to him, ... That's his deal and he's spending some time thinking about it. Last week, the reason we went out to follow him in practice was out of respect for him. He had the best car and we wanted to see how we stood up next to him. And we passed him.
almost bad best continue daytona guys maybe proud race win won work
I'm proud of this race team. These guys continue to work their butts off through adversity, making the best of a bad situation. We almost won another race today. We're doing everything we need to do. We won the Daytona 500 and maybe we'll win the championship.
aggressive best car driving eyes guy handling hard hung led moves pace race smart sure worked
I just really slowed down the pace of the race in my eyes from what I was doing, made sure that I made smart moves that wouldn't have hung me out of the draft. I didn't try as hard to be the guy that led the most laps, made the most aggressive moves. I worked on the handling of our race car so at the end of the race we had the best driving car.
best came considered felt front maybe played race sat stayed strategy team trouble win wish
I look at that and wish maybe we played the strategy that (Dale Jarrett) did where he sat at the back and stayed out of trouble and then came through and was even able to win the race, ... We considered a lot of things at Talladega and we felt like the best thing for our team was to race for the win and to be up front and stay out of trouble that way and it didn't really play out.
bit car recognize result
Yes, a little bit because you really have to recognize when you are being abusive to the car and as a result to the tires.
anticipate change continues cup far forward four hope learned lessons looking taught year
With my four years in Cup so far, each year had . . . a different set of pressures. I'm looking forward to it this year. I don't anticipate it to be the same. It just continues to change and intensify each year. I just hope that all the lessons I've learned so far have taught me enough that I can get it done.
last month race speed start strong turn
We have to find some speed and turn things around. Thankfully, we had a strong start to the season, so this last month we really didn't have to race our way in. But we've got to find it in a hurry.
california run shot start
We've got a shot at a meteoric start to the season. I've always run pretty well at California and Las Vegas.
drove line shocked
When I drove by I was shocked to see the line so big, ... It's overwhelming.

We did everything we needed to do and then just held our own for a little bit and gradually got tighter and tighter.a top ten is exactly what we needed.
