That was so much fun. I knew if I could get to his outside and get around him I knew the car was going to drive good. I just didn't want to push the issue. Then they had that green-white-checker at the end.

For us, we knew we had an extra day and that we could take our time and work through some things through the night and come in with a plan. We came in and made some really good changes to the car.

I was slowly catching Matt before that last caution. I thought long and hard about what I would do if I was protecting the lead. I knew I wanted to be on the outside. I faked kind of to the bottom and he kind of bought it.

I had trouble on restarts all day, spinning the rear tires. And Kyle was all over me. I knew I was going to have my hands full.

I have to admit, I was a little timid with it up there. I knew it was there and it was softer, but I am really trying not to bump draft. I've gotten myself into more trouble at plate tracks than I care to, so I'm just going to keep my bumper to myself.

I knew I needed to get a good, clean start. I also knew Ryan (Newman) was going to get a run on me and when he went to the top I stayed committed to the bottom. One of my friends from the off-road ranks Casey Mears was behind me and I knew I was in good shape.

We lost last year by eight points, and we had some troubles at the start of the Chase, ... This year, hopefully, we'll make the right decisions and not have any weird things happen to us, and I won't make any mistakes on the racetrack and stay clean throughout.

There was a little bit (of contact) with Tony trying to get by me. One time in the middle of (turns) 3 and 4, I think he hit me four or five times and I couldn't get any gas because my tires were off the ground. That's when he finally got by me on the inside.
again career experience highlight hopefully media past quite week
Quite an experience (this past week of media frenzy). It was the highlight of my career and hopefully I can experience it again some day.
cars choose five nobody race says tear win
The thing I don't like, ... is the five Roush cars can go on a tear and nobody says anything, then we go out and win a race and so we've got to be cheating. It does get frustrating, but I choose to take it as a compliment.

I've been aggressive before and made some mistakes that caused wrecks. Today I just wanted to sit and ride, and take care of things.
