afraid becomes good lack last lived lose performance played revenge sight square time trying
I think remembrance of how good you better be because you have to play a lot better than the last time you played them. If revenge becomes a factor, I'm afraid you lose sight of what it is that you're trying to square away. It's our performance that we need to square away, but all of us have lived with our lack of performance that day.
care course focus games happen hope legacies legacy life majority performance saturday shaped television
I think legacies are shaped everyday, ... Shaped in your film preparation, shaped in how you take care of everything that is your responsibility, and then of course every practice, and then of course it's magnified in the games because the majority of the people, that's what they see in your life -- what you do on Saturday and what you do on television and so forth. I hope that his focus is on day-to-day preparation and his performance play-to-play, and we'll let those legacy discussions happen long after he's gone.
deserving exactly game last obviously outline performance season spring warrants
Exactly who will play when, obviously we're not going to outline for you today, but I think Troy's performance in the '04 season, his performance in the spring and his performance in preseason warrants him deserving to play. I think Justin's performance last season and this spring and this preseason and now Game 1 of this season warrants that he should play.
command great key performance players smith
The key to any great performance is that your key players make plays. What Troy Smith does is, he has a great command of our offense, and when it doesn't go right, he can improvise.
added afraid becomes hope incentive lack lived lose performance revenge serves sight square trying
If revenge becomes a factor, I'm afraid you lose sight of what it is that you're trying to square away, ... It's our performance that we need to square away, but all of us have lived with our lack of performance that day. You would hope that that serves as added incentive to do better.
We just thought that that was the way to go right at that point,
ball consistent evolve fact felt good season spread starting ten
We felt going into the Big Ten season if we could evolve to the fact where we always had a 100-yard back, then we could probably spread the ball around enough to have a good offense. We're starting to get consistent with that.
advanced coming felt football further game guy maybe next nice normal obviously step
We felt coming in ... he was a guy that was really into the game of football and you could just tell as he got here that he was maybe further advanced than the normal guy. ... Now he's got to obviously take the next step as we go into the Big Ten, but I think he's done a nice job.
cared good
We feel very good about where he is and how he's being cared for and his attitude.
appreciate certainly men women
We certainly appreciate what those young men and women are doing for our country.
mind number percent perhaps week
We're going into this week with the thought in mind that Troy will be the quarterback and have the most significant number of reps in practice, perhaps 75 percent to 80 percent.
capable chance
I've said many, many times that if you have two quarterbacks capable of being champions, you have a chance to be a champion, ... I think we have that.
capable chance
I've said many, many times over the years that if you have two quarterbacks capable of being champions, you've got a chance to be a champion, and I think we have that.
coach college dream interested job ohio state
It would be a dream job if you were interested in it. Ohio State was a dream job as a college coach and it's still my dream job.
