dallas gets good guys hard inside pass playing shoot stop whatever
I thought our guys were playing hard tonight. I really thought we were playing hard. Dallas gets to it and they get whatever they want and go inside and really take it to you. They've got guys that can put it on the floor, they got a lot guys that can pass and they got guys that can shoot it out on the floor. You have to be really good to try to stop them.
effort stop
They pretty much manhandled us all the way around. We didn't have much of any kind of effort to stop them.
ball care experience guys messed mistake pin point revealing sort stop talk took top turn
They executed, they got on top of the basket. If you made a mistake defensively, they took care of it. They made us turn the ball over if we messed up our spacing on the floor. They used us on the pin down. Guys couldn't get up and get over screens. It was kind of a revealing experience for our players. You see those things and talk about those things, but we aren't able to get to that point where we can stop that sort of thing.
close foul good guy points stop
You've got to get close enough to him to foul him. I wouldn't feel very good about myself if a guy scored a lot of points and I didn't use my fouls to try to stop him.
anybody finishing job leave open
We've got to do a better job finishing the ballgame. We don't want to leave anybody open on a 3-point shot.
altogether defend job terrible trying
We did a terrible job altogether trying to defend them.
fought guys looked points running second seven six within
We kind of fought back a little in the second half. We got to within six or seven points and then they just annihilated us. Our big guys just looked like they were running in mud.
ball gave looked running
We had 23 turnovers and gave away 28 points. They went after the ball hard, and we looked like we were running in mud.
bit
We started to play a little bit at the end of the ballgame, but it was a little bit too late.
compete fight shown stay though
This team, they've shown the willingness to try to fight back and stay in there and compete even though we've been short-handed.
great team
This team is going to be a great, great team.
ball game
This was a winnable ball game on our part.
ball felt four fourth game gave guys job left minutes needed took win
We gave (Sacramento) everything they needed to get their game going and win the ball game. I took the timeout with four minutes left in the fourth because I felt like the guys that were in just weren't going to get the job done.
commitment common drive everybody felt man missing outside presence shot stay talked team whatsoever worried
Everybody you talked to about our team would tell you we had no presence whatsoever inside. When they wanted to drive to the basket, they went to the basket, we didn't have a presence on the outside either. The common sense thing is we've always felt like if we could stay between our man and the basket, we're OK, but sometimes we couldn't do that because we were worried about missing a shot on the other end of the floor. There has to be a commitment to do that.
