Last year, we were kind of just happy to be going. We were one of the last teams announced, we weren't even sure if we were going. This year, we knew we were in, and we were one of the first teams announced.

I still say a lot of people don't think that kids in Iowa can play basketball. People just think that we're farm boys and we like corn. It's kind of funny, but that's just the way it goes.

I think we're a better team now than we were then. To lose a game right now would be devastating.

I think this shows how we've been able to fight through adversity. The way this team has persevered has been something else.

I think some of those goals are impossible to get. It's kind of a weird system, but most of the time when we have more blacks than reds, we're in the win column.
